lyrics
Drag my body down from the mountain peak
take a breath before I'm seen
I rig a rope somewhere no one knows
like the lonely climb
up a scaffold
Close my eyes thinkin' of my childhood dream
easy when mama's your one and only stream
washin' away any sorrow you have seen
hold on tight, don't lose sight
of the beam
Take me, home
Take me, home
Take me, home
Scold the boys up the rope
scream inside from down up through my throat
the golden light hides the evening moan
eaten my pride through my spine
and bone
Carry me, home
Carry me, home
Carry me, home
Drag my body where the mountain meets the blue
take a breath before you're through
I rigged a rope somewhere no one knew

Courtney has really delivered a gem in this record. This collection of songs feels tight and cohesive. Highlights for me are "How Quickly Your Heart Mends" and "Table For One". What has always struck me about Courtney's music is that the melodies sound like the lyrics feel; from the arrangements to the delivery, you won't be disappointed! David Johnson

I feel I'll still be playing this album in years to come. There is just something very special about it. Great song crafting and clever intricate lyrics. I relate to this album maybe more than I would like to admit! James Green
